Nate "Otega" Henn LINK |
I came across this story while browsing online for various ministries and missionary efforts around the world. Sure, I'm not doing something as significant - at least in my own eyes - as the ministry of physically rescuing lives, raising awareness of children abducted into hostile environments, etc. Regardless, Nate "Otega" Henn was doing what the Lord had given him a heart to do, serve and demonstrate the love of Christ to the Invisible Children of Gulu, Nothern Uganda.
I have never seen this fellow, never talked to him, never heard his name, but I am truly blessed and encouraged by his dedication to live a life that revolved around sharing the love of Christ and the hope and joy we have in Him. The reality of his passing couple weeks ago, only puts things into perspective, being that he was the same age as me. Life is fleeting and who knows the extent of our own days but the Lord. With that said, am I living each moment for Christ, knowing that my next breath could be my last?
May I live fully for Christ in all circumstances and never be ashamed or afraid to share the gospel to this world. Brings me back to my life verse: "I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed but have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ would be exalted in my body whether by life or by death." - Phil 1:20
