As St. Paul School has now begun, I am currently teaching Seventh and Ninth standards (grade). It is wonderful because last year I taught Sixth standard so I get to see all my students again. When I first walked in to the Seventh standard classes all my students gasped and shouted "AH! Teacher Eddie!" I did not tear up, but my heart.. oh man.. it felt good. HAHAH!
In each class - three sections per each standard - I am currently going through a gospel curriculum that covers the many doctrines about God, Trinity, salvation, election, justification, Christ, sin, atonement, resurrection, hell/heaven, etc.. I am currently teaching each class once a week for a total of fourteen week which gives me plenty of time to teach soundly. For the most part, my students are attentive and answer passionately, while some others.. just stare right back at me in confusion.. and still few that do not even write or pay attention in class. Maybe I should go Indian teacher on them and just beat them with a stick. HAHA! How marvelous.. Indian children pinatas. mmm..give me some candy. HAH!
Lately though, we have been going out alot. The M's treat us well: Cafe Coffee Day for two hours just to relax and chat like "americans" HAH! INOX movie theater to watch "Kites"- which happens to be an awesome hindi movie (with alot of english, thank God!); watching the Korea/Greece game with a bunch of the Bangalore Korean Church members; and more. This possibly means.. "treat them well now before we work them like dogs!!" HAHA.. crap..
Untouched photos:
Absolutely beautiful sky after the rain (it has been very cold/rainy here in Bangalore approx. 80 deg.)
decided to try some indian snacks (samosa and two others - which I forgot). They were AMAZING! Consequence - bathroom every 15-20 minutes. HA! I'm definitely going to get more though.
Indian desserts are the best. I really need to learn how to make them..from top left: cashew burfi, ladoo, pistachio peda, and others haha. I could seriously eat these as meals.. then come back after gaining 50lbs
A cool brother in Christ, Justin Ross, who I randomly met @ the market, then had lunch with recently to share our testimonies and what we were doing in India. So random, such a huge blessing!
our "american-like" coffee break talking about EVERYTHING: politics, social life, sports, India, church, families.. I should have shared: I hate India. HAHAHAH!! jk
This picture is self-explanatory. Koreans wearing red gathered in one room cheering... I missed all the goals because I had to take photos. Thank for Fifa.com for highlights. HAH
decided to cook for the M's: on the menu - spaghetti with bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, garlic, and BEEF! that's right.. BEEF suckas!! btw: that's Aunty Jothi, she cooks all the Indian meals for us: Egg curry, Chicken Curry, Briyani, etc.. I've learned 3 of her recipes :)
focused all my energy on making the beef. could care less about the other things.. I just wanted beef!
the closest thing I will have to good food from home. Tired of korean food hahah! Yes yes, call me strange: a korean who cannot constantly eat korean food. But Indian food and BEEF.. mm my tummy is satisfied.

It's official, I'm calling you Teacher Eddie from now on.
You'll have to come home and cook for us, these Indian dishes look great. You should make that chicken dish you made in Italy. What was it? You caramelized almonds or something. I just remember you sitting on the floor of Martin's apartment hammering those nuts early in the morning. That was delicious!! Yum, hammered nuts.
Miss you Teacher Eddie. I'm so glad you're enjoying your trip.
