I've been challenged lately to constantly be aware and alert for false teachers, false "truths" and false "revelations." We are warned in 1 John 4 not to believe every spirit but to test them to see if they are from God or from this world. It later outlines how to distinguish. There are many twisters and selfish proclaimers of "truth" that I have recently encountered or heard about and it really worries me that many of God's children are confused and tossed back and forth through these deceitful teachings. The naive soul proclaims all things to be from God and fools him/herself. The alert soul tests every spirit to validate the authenticity of God and His word. "God help me to be alert to false teachings and guarded through Your words. Amen."
